As an AFM Signatory Booking Agent, you are affiliated with the world’s largest organization devoted to the needs of professional musicians. We’re the oldest, most respected name in the music industry. Established in 1896, we represent some of the biggest names, hottest performers; from Bach to Rock; from Grammy award winners to local wedding bands.

Signatory Booking Agents enjoy access to the AFM website, a listing in the Booking Agent Directory for AFM members on the AFM.org website, and a print subscription to the monthly International Musician magazine.

As an AFM Signatory Booking Agent, you can list an unlimited number of AFM bands on AFM Entertainment. When a prospective buyer clicks on a link to view your AFM band’s information, the purchaser will see your contact information as the artist’s booking agent. Increase visibility and prospects by posting bios, pictures, repertoire, and other promotional materials of AFM Bands that you represent.

Signatory Booking Agent Benefits Include:

Guaranteed Payment:  AFM will take legal action against an engager for contractual defaults on behalf of the member(s) or agent.  If default occurs while on tour, AFM will wire money to the member(s).

Guaranteed Commissions:  If an agent is not paid a commission (set rates of 15-20% – depending on type of engagement) by a member, the agent may file a grievance with the AFM Local for remedy through an internal process.

Locals’ Assistance:  Agents can rely on AFM Locals for listings of available musicians and venues.

Use of AFM Contract Language:  Our contract language is registered and has been proven through the courts.

AFM Entertainment:  AFM’s booking referral service, geared to advertizing members to corporate, union and/or wedding gigs. Agent & members can upload photo images and songs.

Referrals:  Musicians seeking an agent will only be referred to AFM Signatory agents.

Temporary Work Permits:  AFM can also assist in obtaining Work Permits for US members to work in Canada.

Webhosting:  Agents & members can take advantage of AFM’s webhosting services.  Choose from 4 different hosting packages, starting as low $19/YEAR for 100mb and up $149/YEAR for 2GB.

Advertising Opportunities:  Agents may advertise in the Locals quarterly newsletter or the AFM’s monthly publication, International Musician magazine. Agents will also be listed on AFM’s online directory to which potential engagers and musicians are referred to.

Access to AFM Website:  Obtain information on AFM members, fellow agents, as well as direct access to AFM agreements and forms.

 

The yearly fee is $100 for U.S. AFM Signatory Agents.
