Statement by International President Ray  Hair on the president’s proposed budget that completely eliminates the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB)—which supports PBS and NPR:

“Working musicians in all 50 states rely on NEA support for orchestras, festivals and theaters—and any proposal to eliminate the NEA is completely unacceptable. We are calling on Congress to protect and preserve funding for the arts.”
