House Approves Music Reforms
AFM applauds today’s unanimous passage of the Music Modernization Act by the U.S. House of Representatives. The Music Modernization Act will resolve several longstanding inequities in the music business including ensuring musicians who recorded music before 1972 are paid for digital radio streams. All musicians deserve to be paid for their work, regardless of when it was made. The legislation now moves on to the U.S. Senate.
