Major Employment Sectors
There are various employment sectors that make up AFM membership. Organizing these sectors include internal and external organizing. The O & E department, along with individual AFM departments, assists musicians wanting to organize for collective bargaining in the fields of: Symphonic, Recording, Theatre, Clubs and Casinos.
Each of these employment sectors have their own individual set of organizing situations but many times they overlap. An example would be an symphonic musician who does recording work who also performs freelance theatre work.
